Requirements
- Soundeer: Android 7 or later; Android 12 or later recommended. iPhone: coming soon.
- Soundeer Home: Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit (on ARM: Windows 11); Linux with systemd: Debian 11, Ubuntu 20.04, RHEL 9 or later, on x64 or ARM64.
Every file can be checked
Next to each file you’ll find its SHA-256 fingerprint: if the file you downloaded has the same one, it is exactly ours.
File signatures
Soundeer is a self-funded project: to keep fixed costs low, digital signatures are available for Linux only.
- Windows: the installer is not signed, so the first time you run it Windows may show “Windows protected your PC”. To install, click “More info” and then “Run anyway”. You can check that the file is exactly ours with its SHA-256 fingerprint.
- Linux: every package is signed. The .rpm carries its signature inside; the .deb and the .tar.gz have it next to them, in an .asc file. The fingerprint list, SHA256SUMS, has its own signature too (SHA256SUMS.asc).
Public key: soundeer-home.asc, fingerprint A7E6 5587 F88D 98A2 2C71 1B53 A7C5 8D8B CE5B E17B.
To check a .deb, a .tar.gz or SHA256SUMS:
gpg --import soundeer-home.asc
gpg --verify FILE.asc FILE
To check an .rpm:
sudo rpm --import soundeer-home.asc
rpm -K FILE.rpm
